Capability is not direction
AI can help build a company, raise a child with more attention, create art, solve a public problem, accumulate control, avoid responsibility, or deepen passive consumption. The tool multiplies a direction; it does not make the direction worthy.

Ownership matters
If a worker produces ten times as much but owns none of the increase, the system may build total output while transferring the resulting value elsewhere. Productivity and distributed human function are different ledgers.

The apprenticeship question
If AI removes the work through which beginners become experts, an organization may gain present productivity while borrowing experience from its future workforce. That outcome is possible, not inevitable; it depends on how learning is rebuilt.
